Amy makes her debut at the Metropolitan Room with a fresh new sound steeped in the traditions of classical and jazz. Surprise special guests with a supreme reverence for all things musical guarantee a special night to remember. Amy Gruszewski grew up in Minneapolis Minnesota, and holds a Bachelor of Music in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her background in classical piano (age 5), combined with her experiences as a vocalist, choir director, and composer in numerous genres, bring a versatility to her musical style, best described as a fresh new sound steeped in traditions of classical and jazz. She has been entertaining all her life, from hosting her own Open Mic Series that was a hit in NYC for over 5 years, to her classic interpretations of great American Songbook repertoire performed daily in her role as music specialist in the Jewish Home Lifecare System, to her roles as Music Director and arranger for various stage productions and scenarios, she excels at all things musical.
