Eric Drysdale
Eric Drysdale is a comedian and writer in New York City.
For nearly 6 years, Eric worked as a writer for Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, contributing to their acclaimed coverage of both the 2000 and 2004 elections. While there, Eric garnered 5 emmy awards, two Peabodys, two Television Critics Awards, and an ASIFA animation award. He also contributed to the show’s longtime best-seller America, The Book, winner of Publisher’s Weekly 2004 Book of the Year, as well as the Thurber prize for humor.
Eric joined former TDS colleague Stephen Colbert at his spin-off, The Colbert Report, in late 2005, sometimes appearing on-screen as Stephen’s beseiged stage manager, Bobby. Eric also contributed to Stephen’s best-selling book I am America (And So Can You!), and earned a WGA award while at the show.
