Celeste Pechous
Celeste Pechous has been doing the bits for the last decade in Chicago, L.A., N.Y.C. and elsewhere from Kankakee to Vienna. Originally from Iowa City, Pechous moved to Chicago to study improvisation at The Second City, iO and The Annoyance Theatre. As a member of the Second City National Touring Company, Pechous played all over the world, which included a U.S.O. performance tour. She has written and performed with the critically-acclaimed ensemble Gayco with Poked, Better Than Better Than Chocolate and Weddings of Mass Destruction, which was awarded "Best Ensemble" in NYC's Fringe Festival. Pechous has been a regular performer at The Chicago Comedy Festival, New York's Toyota Comedy Festival and Comedy Central's Comics Come Home for the Chris Farley Foundation. Most recently she opened the Chicago Improv Festival and closed the San Francisco Improv Festival. She can't get enough of those festivals. Pechous was nominated for best actress at the Midwest Film Festival for her work in George Eckert's animation, The Clan. She made her film debut in Marc Forster's Stranger than Fiction and her short Old Maid is playing film festivals internationally and here at home. She writes knock-knock jokes for Dixie Cups and is a member of S.A.G. Pechous currently performs weekly at Second City Hollywood, iO West and Ralphs on Virgil, usually in the frozen foods aisle.
