Phil Gordon
Phil Gordon is an original Chicago comedian now working primarily out West in Arizona and California. He recently has participated in the 2011 World Series of Comedy Competition; the Ventura Comedy Festival and the Eagle Rock Comedy Festival. Phil shares his unique experiences as a single dad raising teenagers in a turbulent world. He doesn’t spend all his time with teenagers and also wryly describes his hilarious experiences in the fifty-plus on-line dating world, or as he calls it , “the shootout at the loser corral”. Phil approaches comedy like he approaches life--straight forward and with a grain of salt.
He performs his stand-up stylings regularly across the country in comedy clubs such as Pasadena’s Ice House and LA’s fabled Comedy Store. He performs regularly at Scottsdale’s The Comedy Spot and Laff’s in Tucson. He began his career in Chicago where he was a featured comic at Chicago’s Zanie's, Edge Comedy Club, and ComedyComedyLive. Phil can be seen touring across the country at various clubs and casinos from Wiseguy's in Ogden, UT to Jokers in Richland, WA to Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, AZ and the Las Vegas Comedy Club, in Las Vegas, NV.
As an actor he is active in the improv community where he is an ensemble member of the "Triple Play" comedy troupe which has appeared regularly at Chicago's famed Improv Olympic Theater. Phil has also written, produced, and appeared in many short films including, “Repossessed” and “Commuting To Tomorrow” which were broadcast on WTTW Channel 11’s “Image Union” and the award-winning “Pain Within” at the 2006 Vidiocy Film Festival.
