Rob Chester Smith grew up in small town Iowa. After graduating from Northwestern University with an engineering degree in Applied Mathematics, he stuck around Chicago for a while and did improv - training at the Improv Olympic with Del Close and at the Annoyance theater with Mick Napier. He also received meisner-based acting training at Studio2 with Rob Mello and Monica Payne.
Since moving to L.A., Rob has performed at the Improv Olympic and appeared in several national commercials. TV credits include “The Ghost Whisperer,” “Quarterlife,” “Chuck,” "Modern Family," and “Eleventh Hour,” which included his first on-screen electrocution.Currently he can be seen performing standup with “Standup Salad.” He is a proud member of The Next Arena Theater Company.
