Description:

The contest will run once a month from March to August. Selected comedy shorts (including webisodes and Youtube videos) will be screened and judged (by audience ballot) with the top two shorts from each month qualifying for the final contest taking place during the Burbank International Film Festival. 7:00pm–8:00pm Happy Hour Mixer, ($3 beers and appetizer specials). Come right from work and Mix and Mingle with other filmmakers. 8:00pm-9:30pm Comedy Shorts Contest with a celebrity MC and performance by Impressionist Jim Meskimen. Tickets are only $10 (get them here online) with $3 VIP Valet Parking.

Get a group of friends together and help kick-off the The Burbank International Film Festival with some food, fun, libations and laughs. The entry fee is $10 per film, webisode, or video with a maximum running time of 10 minutes. Unlike the actual film festival, comedy shorts do not have to have been made in the last two years, they just need to be really funny. However, these entries only qualify for the Road to Burbank Comedy Contest and not for the actual film festival. A separate withoutabox submission and entry fee is required for the festival, and those short films, webisodes or Youtube videos can run up to 50 minutes in length.

So potentially, your comedic short film has two chances to win big. So submit your hilarious work of art now, and get your film on The Road To Burbank!
