Gary Cannon:

Gary Cannon's mom knew her son had comedic talent when, at the young age of five, Gary had a very bad cold. At the time, his mom was out of kleenex and offered her son toilet paper instead. Gary quickly replied, "I need to blow my nose not wipe my ass." Well, sure Gary got the shit beat out of him–I mean was sent for a timeout–but that was the beginning of his incredible comedy career.

Since that day, Gary knew he wanted to entertain people. He moved to San Francisco and quickly became a favorite among the local comics and audiences. After developing his style and confidence, Gary moved to Los Angeles and immediately began working some of the top clubs in southern California, including the Hollywood Improv and the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach.

After about a year in LA, Gary transitioned his comedy into another area, studio audience warm up. Most T.V. shows have a warm up comic who entertains the audience before the show starts. Gary 's high energy and ability to work a crowd made him a great fit for this opportunity. He landed his first job for the Dean Martin Celebrity Roast infomercial. Gary was excited to be doing audience warm up but even more excited to meet comedy legend Don Rickles who was there for the taping. What a great first day!!!

Gary went on to warm up the Late Late Show with then host Craig Kilborn and current host Craig Ferguson. In 2005, Gary landed the warm up job on Last Call w/ Carson Daly when the show moved from New York to L.A. Gary has also worked on some other big shows, including Dancing with the Stars and Americas Got Talent.   Gary has worked with some amazing comics including Bob Saget, Dana Carvey, Norm MacDonald, Brian Regan, Ralphie May, David Alan Grier, John Pinette, and Jim Gaffigan. Gary currently tours some of the best clubs in the country, and one nasty club in Shreveport. For legal reasons Mr. Cannon must tell you he is in no way referring to the Funnybone Comedy Club in Shreveport. Please note: The Funnybone is the only comedy club located in the fine city of Shreveport.

Check out the Tour Dates page to see when Gary is coming to your city. Gary is proud to say in his time as a comic, he has only been screwed over by (384) club owners.

But don't think that Gary is only involved with high dollar, high ticket events. Gary consistently donates his time to a cause dear to him, Autism. After learning his niece was affected with this condition, Gary is always participating in events to raise money and create awareness for this rapidly growing disorder.

2012 will mark Gary’s fourteenth year anniversary in comedy. Although he doesn't like to brag about his income, an unconfirmed source at Forbes magazine said Gary must be doing well since he shares a studio apartment with only six other people. And with the high cost of rent in Los Angeles, the unconfirmed source said, “I can only assume this is one nice studio apartment.” Take into account his day job as a sign twirler for Liberty Income Tax and an amazing invention called the Coinstar machine, Gary Cannon is a true Hollywood success. And Gary wants to confirm and end all rumors posted on TMZ. He broke it off with Lady Gaga... not the other way around.
